Here’s a photo that my Dad (Mike Conchatre) got from one of his trail camera’s. When not guiding duck hunters for Birdtail Waterfowl, he’s out hunting everything else out there. His bear hunting is more like a good gesture Lol. I can’t remember the last time he let an arrow fly on a bear, but I sure get a lot of cool photos like this one..
On Facebook I gave it the caption “Hey boys here comes that little Frenchman again”
It’s actually pretty cool the way he looks after his bears.. He paddles his canoe miles into the boreal forest loaded with over 300 lbs of oats, fryer grease, beaver carcasses and other secrets. No gun or bow involved.
This just goes to prove that the enjoyment of hunting really has very little to do with the actual harvesting..
Although one of my duck hunting guides Darcy Rands and his 12 year old son will be on their first bear hunt soon..
