Covid-19 Update

Itching for 2021

Covid-19 Update

First off, I would like to thank everyone who inquired and booked with Birdtail for 2020, but we have some bad news.

Can and will Birdtail open for the 2020 waterfowl season? No, we can not.

With Canadian / US border closed, restrictions on travel between other provinces and Manitoba, plus all the new Manitoba Health regulations – 2020 is a bust for Birdtail.

Getting straight to the point, how are we going to handle reservations and deposits?

We are going to mirror our 2020 season to 2021 exactly. So, let’s say you booked a 4-day hunt from October 1st to October 5th 2020, your date would be October 1st to October 5th 2021.  All deposits will be carried over to 2021.

What are we going to do while the lodge is closed?

The guides and I will be out dialing in our area and scouting for new hunting opportunities. We scout 1.3 million acres and have a good handle on it, but not all. We are going to treat this year as a positive pause to build our “A” game and take Birdtail to the next level.

We have a couple missions to complete, #1 on the list is archery Sandhill Crane. So, keep an eye on our videos that I will sending to you via the newsletter and on social media. The videos of us scouting / hunting / exploring, plus the odd mad man mission should be rather entertaining 😊

Birdtail has been in operation for over two decades and within those years we have been tested over and over when it comes to economic recessions, travel restrictions, floods, droughts, Mad Cow, Avian Flu and whatever else my memory chose to delete.

We will weather this storm just like all the others.

Stay well and good luck this fall.

Thank you
